During the Summer, Jake worked at the Walking Bird Farm fulfilling a dream of growing and harvesting food for the community. After being in Maine for the Summer, we headed back to Jake’s Grandparent’s house in New Jersey. We were greeted warmly by Jake’s grandfather, Charles, who had made and hung a sign up next to our normal parking spot. 09/01-09/30/2022: It’s all about the food this month. We had our weekly team potlucks, except we celebrated a few birthdays and 2 weddings, so we had reason to go all out with our contributions. We hosted and catered a seaside wedding at the campground waterfront. 08/01-08/30/2022: The owner of the Appledore Schooner was a guest of ours at Megunticook Campground and during one of our Lobster Bakes, he invited us all to come take a cruise on the Schooner for free. We scheduled a ride and did a sunset tour around Camden harbor and the nearby lighthouses. It was an excellent experience and they served drinks aboard the ship as we cruised around. 01/09/2020-4/29/2020: Our job in Alliance, OH was for a woman who owns several businesses on Main Street, a historic part of the town. Her goal was to open multiple family-friendly tourist attractions to accompany her already-famous Troll Hole Museum, home of the world’s largest troll doll collection.
