Our job for the Summer was at the Honesdale Poconos KOA Holiday which was our first KOA/corporate franchise campground job. We really enjoyed the importance of the customer’s experience and the focus on families making nice memories on vacation. Yes, Scranton is a real place. Yes, we definitely went to the places on ‘The Office’. We landed a job in Honesdale which is only about 30 minutes from Scranton! From January to the end of April, we worked at Love Ridge Mountain Lodging, a cabin rental property outside of Waynesboro with several romance themed cabins and chalets. We were hired by the new owners of the property to turn a large unused part of the grounds into campsites for couples who want to camp outdoors on the mountain ridge.
