Our First Road Trip: Maine

Our First Road Trip: Maine

On August 9th, we left the comfort and safety of our front yard in South New Jersey and began our journey North to Rockport, Maine. We were hired on as camp hosts for the rest of the summer at a gorgeous campground by the sea! The drive took us through scenic valleys, around giant mountains, over historic bridges and through tiny New England towns. The journey took twice as long as what we originally estimated due to Buddy’s lack of…

Top 5 Most Frequently Asked Questions

Whenever we tell new people about the bus, we always end up answering the same questions and getting the same confused looks. If you are building a skoolie or live in a skoolie already, then these questions may be all too familiar to you! Why did you choose to convert a school bus and not just buy an RV? Removing the Ceiling

In this video, we spend late August evenings removing the metal ceiling and unscrewing countless amounts of screws from the ribs and structure. Removing the Floor

Removing the Walls and Wiring Covers

Removing the Walls and Wiring Covers

In this video, we ground thousands of bolts and removed the wall panels. We also removed the coverings from all the wiring inside of the bus and detached the stop sign from the exterior. With help from Jake’s uncle, Jim, we removed some of the decals and adhesive from the outside of the bus as well. We decided to showcase some the music that inspires us to do what we’re doing! The song in this video is ‘Frantic’ by Metallica!…
