After we left from Love Ridge, we camped in Luray for about a week and explored the caverns there. We took two VERY different tours of the caves there: The first one was a 1800’s themed tour of the Grand Caverns and it was by CANDLELIGHT! The second was of the Endless Caverns and there was only one other person on the tours so it was very casual.

Grand Caverns tour was led by a guide in 1800’s clothing and the entire tour of the caves was done by candlelight. We each were given a candle holder that had a reflective shield that projected the light forward. All of my photos were taken on night mode in order to capture the most lighting possible.

Next, we camped at Endless Caverns Resort and did a modern tour of the caves. The time we picked was early, so we only had one other guy in out group. The tour guide was.. a little weird.. but he took his time and gave us all the weird facts because of the size of our group.

The following day, we hiked the the top of the hill where the ENDLESS CAVERNS sign is located. If you’ve traveled through this area, you’ve likely seen the sign from the highway.

While we were in the area, I checked the county website for local events and found out there was a LEGO Convention called Brick Universe happening nearby in Harrisonburg.. so of course we went because LEGO! (duh)
