Rockport, Maine – Month 2

Rockport, Maine – Month 2

06/01-06/30/2020: We became good friends with our co-workers, Charleen and Alex, and spent a lot of time hiking and sight-seeing with them. They also invited us whenever their friends came to visit as we did not have friends in the area.

We climbed a few mountains with them and also explored the downtown areas of Rockport, Camden, and Boothbay Harbor.

Elle made some designs for Catherine who wanted a new way to indicate where the camp host spots were located in the park. This was also to let guests know when not to knock on our doors, unless it was an emergency.

These signs have an “on duty” placard that slides into place so that it can be changed at any time.

Camden, ME

We visited Sea Dog Brewery, which originates here in Camden. We also tried a few brews at Blaze Brewery and grabbed some old school candies from Uncle Willy’s.

Maiden’s Cliff

This was a long hike to the cliff sides of the mountain where a giant cross marks the spot where a young girl once fell to her death. Her bonnet blew off of her head in the wind and she leapt to catch it, but actually jumped off the cliff.

We cherish these photos because since then, Dovah, Alex’s dog, has passed away. He was a good boy and he loved being in the outdoors.
